- In outlook click on the TOOLS menu
- then click on the ACCOUNTS option
- In the next window, select the MAIL tab
- Now click on the ADD button to create your new account.
(you will see the following window.)

On the General Page of settings for your email account.
1.) Use something descriptive in the top blank to describe what email account this is.
2.) Name is often displayed to people in their email programs. (i.e. You have male from )
3.) Enter the email address you are setting up.
4.) This is the address you want people to send mail to when they hit "REPLY" in their email program.

Your email account uses a POP3 Server.
set Incoming mail server to:
mail.greentreewebhosting.com
set Outgoing mail server to:
mail.greentreewebhosting.com
(the same)
Your account name and password are provided to you by GreenTree Webhosting
Choose remember password unless you want to type in your password every time you check your mail.

If your internet access is through a phone line to your computer, then select "connect using my phone line"
If your computer is on a network or uses a cable or ADSL modem, then select "connect using LAN"

On the Advanced Page of settings for your email account.
Your settings should be like the picture on the left. If you
get lots of server timeout errors, (they will tell you they are timeout
errors) then increase your timeouts.
If your ISP (telus/shaw/verizon) is blocking outgoing email traffic
try using port 26 instead.
Hint:
Do not use options you don't understand.

| After you have checked these settings, click OK and your account is set up. Try sending yourself an email at the new email address you have set up and attempt to "check your mail" to see if you receive it. (give the mail server a minute to receive your mail) |
