Situation:
You want to enable the display of hidden files and protected
operating system files in Windows.
Solution:
Windows operating systems, by default, do not show hidden
files or protected operating system files. You may need to change these settings,
for example, to find a hidden file that you must modify or delete.
Windows 95/98/NT has the option to show or not show hidden files.
Windows Me/2000/XP can also hide protected operating system files.
Follow the instructions for your operating system.
To configure Windows NT 4.0 to show hidden files:
Double-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop.
Click the View menu, and then click Options.
Click the View tab and then select "Show all files."
